We’ve launched some new product in the first half of 2016!
For our Exit Device Product Line we’ve added:
IBC 1024.2.6.2 Door hardware markings. Door hardware shall be marked with no less than 16 square inches (406 mm2) of luminous material. This marking shall be located behind, immediately adjacent to or on the door handle and/or escutcheon. Where a panic bar is installed, such material shall be no less than 1 inch (25 mm) wide for the entire length of the actuating bar or touchpad.
NFPA 101 – The Life Safety Code 220.127.116.11.5.7 Door Hardware Marking. The door hardware for the doors serving the exit enclosures that swing out from the enclosure in the direction of egress travel shall be provided with a marking stripe. The marking stripe shall also meet the following requirements:
(1) The door hardware necessary to release the latch shall be outlined with marking stripe having a minimum horizontal width of 1 inch (25 mm).
(2) Where panic hardware is installed, the following criteria shall be met:
(a) The marking stripe shall have a minimum horizontal width of 1 inch (25 mm) and be applied to the entire length of the actuating bar or touch pad.
(b) The placement of the marking stripe shall not interfere with viewing of any instructions on the actuating bar or touch pad.
Also offered as an option for our 4500 & 4600 Series exit devices is a Flush End Cap. Helps avoid damage to the exit device when used in high traffic environments such as hospitals and schools where carts and gurneys are commonly used.
When ordering, please specify flush end cap or FEC with your 4500/4600 exit device.
For our 4500 Series exit hardware anti-vandal trim 313S and 313L can be used when enhanced security is needed. Concealed fasteners offer a clean look while boosting security. For an added level of security, the 313L incorporates a latch guard on the 4500 Rim Exit Device.
We’ve added a few products in our Trim & Auxilary Line also:
The 334V Series Door knocker with a 115 degree viewer. It meets ANSI A156.16 for L03163 and is available in several finishes.
The 1798 is a new shelf bracket with a 3″ rod hold drop for 14″ & 16″ shelves in white enamel. It has a 150 lbs. load rating.
