Position Summary

Direct the maintenance programs and processes and coordinate activities of workers engaged in the installation, upkeep, preventive maintenance and repair of the mechanical, plumbing, chemical processing, chemical laboratory, carpentry, electrical, pneumatic, electronic, PLC, CNC, and similar facilities equipment. Manage and maintain adequate levels of spare parts.

Essential Functions

  • Develop schedules that are organized, and work is efficiently assigned to the maintenance team
  • Input data into the Maintenance computer database system to generate and complete work orders for the maintenance department affecting preventative maintenance and various departmental projects. Track all employee labor and materials and code to the appropriate Production Cells and assets.
  • Input data into the Maintenance computer database system for tracking parts usage, inventory, and maintain catalog of preferred vendors.
  • Initiates purchase request or confer with purchasing indicating products needed, quantity and required delivery date. Verify availability of supplies or stock with vendors or manufacturers in emergency situations.
  • Input data for parts usage by work order for tracking asset operating cost.
  • Work with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Staff in the documentation of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Perform other computer functions and administrative duties as required in support of enhancing department proficiency.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
  • Maintain inventory and supplies in parts storeroom.
Position Qualification Requirements

Education: Trade school or Associate’s degree

Experience: 2 years prior Maintenance Planning experience preferred.
Working with computers and computer programs and typing.

Skills/Knowledge: Computer software experience using, Word, Excel, Outlook and the internet. Requires ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals and fractions and understand simple formulas and use charts and drawings. The ability to type and use various computer software and hardware programs such as iMaintenance or an ERP system.

Physical Activities/Demands: Physical demands commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, push, pull, grasp, talk, hear, and see. The employee is required to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to maintain a level state of alertness while performing this job.
