Texas Society of Architects 2016 Convergence – Booth 229

We’ll be heading down to San Antonio, Texas in a few weeks to exhibit at the 2016 Texas Society of Architects Design Expo. This is one of the premier regional architectural shows in the country. Architects take this show seriously and are extremely generous with their time on the expo hall floor.

Last year we highlighted our new 9400 Series stainless steel sliding barn door hardware. This year, we added the Conestoga to our sliding door hardware line, which is powder coated black aluminum for a rustic appearance. There are four styles of hangers offered; three face-mount and one top-mount. Sliding barn doors continue to be a popular choice with architects and end users. In addition to saving floor space, sliding doors also meet ADA requirements and are easy for people with disabilities to use.

With the Conestoga as the latest addition, we feel our sliding door hardware product line provides a variety of design choices for your architectural needs. Of course, we will have many other product lines on display too.

CONSTRUCT – 2016

In a just a month, we will be in Austin, Texas exhibiting at CONSTRUCT 2016.

CONSTRUCT_2016_logo

CONSTRUCT is the trade show for the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). The Institute brings together all aspects of the building divisions, from architects, specifiers, product representation, and contract administration. CSI’s mission is to “advance building information management and education of project teams to improve facility performance.”

CONSTRUCT supports that mission by providing a plethora of educational opportunities including a day set aside specifically for young professionals called YP Day.  This is a fantastic opportunity for those just starting out in the industry, 35 years and younger, to learn a lot in a single day.  This day goes beyond typical design education into real world scenarios.

NFMT 2016 – Recap

We are back from the NFMT Show in Baltimore and as always, we had a great time. This is a terrific show to see, and listen to the people who install and maintain our hardware.

The Hager Team arrived in Baltimore Monday to bright blue skies.  After a stop to drop off luggage at the Hilton Inner Harbor we headed to the Baltimore Convention Center to organize the product displays, giveaways and literature in our booth.

2015 in Review

We’ve had a wonderful year thanks to the Hager family, team members, representatives and customers. Here are a few highlights before closing out 2015.

We had several new product announcements in 2015 but the three that made the most impact were released in the 2nd half of the year.

Our new decorative lever line expanded to include our 4500 Series Exit Devices. Adding the decorative levers to the 4500 Series Exit Device line compliments our 2300 Series Tubular Locks & 3800 Series Mortise Locks. Find out additional information here.

Texas Society of Architects Show

This show gets bigger and bigger each year, which isn’t surprising since it’s in Texas.  We’ve had such great results in years past we sent our Director of Product Development and Marketing, Bob Wilkins, to Dallas to meet the attendees. With our local architectural representative, Debra Powers-Wafford and our Regional Manager, Adam Bucko, the Hager booth was well stocked with knowledge, products and literature.

Unexpected

We exhibited at the Texas Society of Architects show last week. It was a great show and we will share more about our experience later. What we didn’t expect was to find a custom door company that is incredibly unique.

Hylda Rodriguez is an artist that designs and hand makes doors. Ms. Rodriguez stopped by our booth to look at our new stainless steel barn door hardware display. She extended an invitation to drop by her booth to see a few of the doors she custom made. Stunning. Beautiful. Unique. Those were just a few of the words that came to mind when we saw the two doors she brought to the show. The pictures below don’t do them justice.

To see how the 2nd door was created please click here

National Facilities Management and Technology (NFMT) Conference and Expo – 2015

Earlier this month we exhibited at the NFMT Conference in Baltimore. Most of the attendees are facility maintenance personnel who use and maintain our products on a daily basis. The information we get back from this show is extremely valuable to us.

Some think trade shows are out of touch – and that may be true in some cases – but not for NFMT. We will be back next year!

Here are a few photos from the show.

Love that NFMT was all over Social Media!
